The Owl Archimedes
The Owl Archimedes is a sound-making device. Otherwise known as Jim Phillips, he entertains himself by tossing varying genres into a blender and scraping out pulpy messes of layered aural wonderment. His work is best enjoyed whilst lying in the treacherous ruins of an old factory, looking at the night sky through the rusted holes in the ceiling, or picking up chicks in your Pinto.
The Electric Archimedes is Jim's psychedelic/noise side project. He's currently working on the "Experiments In Psychedelia" series, which will be several volumes of long improv guitar and synth jams that explore the concepts of psychedelia in repetition and sound as a catalyst for meditation.
